We use the Camtronics servos on a mill drill sized mill with 5 TPI
direct drive ballscrews. They are very good. The only issue we have
with them is that they only run 900 RPM at 40V. We'll probably increase
the supply voltage to 80V to get more speed from them. Note that 900RPM
with a direct drive 5 TPI ball screw is still 180 IPM, theoretical. We
are seeing 150 IPM in use.
