Are you talking about a motion control card like the ones made by Galil and
Acroloop? If so here is the info your looking for.
http://www.galilmc.com
http://www.compumotor.com/products/Controllers____30_80.html#900
I have used both. Galil is one of my favorite mainly because of the simple
to use command language.
I also have an early copy of Galils own CNC control software. Not the best
but it does the job.
The Acroloop is used in a Milltronics CNC lathe I purchased recently. To
this day most of the there technology hasn't changed its still ISA based. As
apposed to plug and play PCI. Both of these work well and I'm sure there are
many more if you look around. Galil boards can be found on Ebay pretty much
all of the time. Just type in Galil in your search box. I have seen them go
for as little as $20 on up to $1000. Still way under new cost.
Hope this helps.
