Do you really need a vector drive? The Teco FM100 series is priced
much more reasonably. You can use the serial port to control it from
the PC. The line drivers are not built into the FM100 so you need to
add external RS232/RS422/RS485 drivers. Teco includes a small
external driver box with their programming software. You can get the
drives and software new from:

www.dealerselectric.com

Ask for Harold.

You can remote the control panel, but the cable is expensive from
Teco and a pain to build yourself. You can also use an external
analog pot for speed control or digital inputs for fixed speeds.
