As far as I know there is no way of connecting the TCL125 to a pc
without replacing the controller board.

I am in the process of refitting one for PC control. I have replaced the
original controller board with a home-made breakout board. I also had to
replace the stepper drives with Xylotex drives as the original drives
were very slow and unreliable. The later TCL125s used step driver
modules that would probably work OK. If you can hear a slight
hissing/whistling noise from the steppers when the machine is on, you
have the later drives.
