Frank,
The size/rating of the components you listed will work together very
nicely. The points to watch are the markings on the bridge rectifier (BR)
for AC in and DC out, the capacitors will have a + marking to be matched to
the + DC out on the BR and I'm assuming you will connect the 2 capacitors
in parallel (+ to + ans - to -) in order to double the capacity to 30,000 mF.
All the - (negative) connections are tied together and called "ground" and
usually also connected to the chassis (box) which is in turn connected to
the green earth lead of the power cord.
The specs for the transformer need to be clarified. Was that 48V CT? at ???, etc.
please state them in full again.
