basic VGA mode, others do very well. The price or size isn't necessarily an
indicator of this either, I've seen some larger expensive ones that were
just
horrible at 640 x 480, with jitter, fuzzy and flickering letters, etc.
I have a 19" Viewsonic here that works well at all the standard video modes.
I seem to remember that a 14" Dell that we have at work doesn't handle
some video modes well. I can't answer for the specific monitor you mention,
but 640 x 480 doesn't interpolate cleanly into 1024 x 768, that's for sure.
640 x 480 doubles up to 1280 x 960, leaving some blank lines top and bottom,
for instance, on a 1280 x 1024 screen. 800 x 600 also doesn't
imterpolate well
into anything else. I sure wouldn't buy anything mail-order unless you can
check the exact model in the modes you want at a store somewhere.
