I think this was directed at me... when I post about TCNC and changes
I've made, I get several private emails asking about how to obtain, etc.
Those posts come from *PRIVATE* users (not commercial) as far as I can
tell and that makes the topic viable for the list criteria, as far as I
can tell.

As far as I am concerned, discussion of commercial CNC machining topics
DOES benefit even the home users. For example, how many people wouldn't
want to mill threads with their home CNC systems ? How many home users
haven't given thought to buying an older commercial machine and are
wondering a) how good the control is and b) what the prospects are for
updating to a PC based controller. I don't understand the list
moderators insistence on limiting the scope of discussion within the
group. As far as I am concerned, if the topic is machining related, why
not let it run ?

I know you advocate discussing these issues with the list manager, but I
think that most on the list would like to broaden the horizon of the
group and therefore the discussion of such is probably a decent thing to
do *publicly*.
