Try a 1000 ohm,1 watt resistor. This will discharge in a couple of
minutes. The resistor will get warm (not hot) as it will dissipate a
bit over .57 watts so keep it clear of other things. Typically it is
mounted directly across the terminals of the cap, to one side. A larger
value resistor (e.g. 2000 ohms) will disspiate less power (i.e. .3
watts) but will take longer to discharge.
