I'm running a Galil 1842 in my Win2K based system, and a BP clone mill.
It is absolutely brilliant! Over 600 hours of 3D machining and not a
single lost step! But the card is only the motion control part, you
still need a G-Code front end.
You can check out Camsoft at http://www.cnccontrols.com/cncpro.asp ,
but mine is from JRA Co http://www.jraco.com/ I think it is a much
better value. It is a windows GUI, but not the prettiest, but it works
the way you need it to when your setting up and running jobs. It has
been rock solid. JRA also offers a handwheel which is also extremely
useful in the shop.
Cheers, Peter
