Two colours were used - Up until some 40 years ago, a mid green similar to
the shade favoured by Myford was used. More common is a "battle ship" grey
that is a close match for Massy Furguson.
All the main castings painted in the chosen colour, with any aluminium
covers being polished. The main Adcock-Shipley name plates on either side of
the ram would have just been polished on the raised surfaces.
