Separate bridge rectifiers and transofromers

Anyone know of a good reason (besides the cost aspect)not to use
three separate bridge rectifiers out of a transofrmer to feed the DC
into Gekoe drives? Also, any good reason not to use 3 smaller
transformers too (one to feed each drive)? I know the cost could get
a little high, but I may have a line on some good, new but smaller
than I need transformers and bridges.
