Hi Derek,

Have you contacted Vlad at Rutex about this - he might have some
suggestions? It does sound like a thermal intermittant problem - either
in the drive, cabling or encoder. Intermittants are the hardest to fix.

Can you swap the encoder between axes and see if the problem moves?
