Hi Robin,

If you have 4 wires to the motor and 2 are for a tach then I assume you have
brushed servo's, two larger leads possibly red and black. If the encoder has
7 leads they may be differential outputs and will cause you grief if not
wired properly. Send me pictures off list and I will try to help you out.
