No it's not. If the board is missing it's a 3 axis machine.
You have obviously had dealings with MV so how about you going in
there, stripping it in place. Forgot to mention you probably need
more than $1500 worth of liability insurance even if they allow you
in the place.
Then part the spares out on Ebay and make your next million.
Seems to me if it was that easy they would do it themselves, perhaps
the $1500 price reflects the fact that they don't want to do it.
You are also missing the fact that it's a weird twin spindle machine
that for day to day use is about as usefull as Quasimodo with a
rucksack
