HI group,
I am new to this group, but have been a member of
cncfoamcutter on yahoo for a few months. I realize that profile
nesting probably isn't a common topic for hobbyists, but I thought
perhaps someone could recommend a good cad/cam package without all
the lights and bells. Something I can simply use to create 2D
profiles, nest them and export as DXF or something similar. I have
Bob/cad-cam V19 and a few other graphics programs like Corel.
Another question I had that the foam cutter guys couldn't help me
with since they use their own specialized software for cutting wings,
is, How can I "teach" a cnc controller system that I am using a
cutting wire. Programs always seem to proceed with the assumption
that they can lift a tool head or stop a plasma arc any time they
need to. How can I overcome this when creating a tool path? Thanks
for any answers either full or in part.
