Being a newbie here I have a question for the "experts" I have had a
manual grizzly mill for several years. Being a machinist for a living
it was a something I needed at home for my own projects as well as to
replace the file and hacksaw I got tired of! I have only recently
seen these machines converted to CNC. Not being much of an electrical
person. Is there any place I can buy a kit for a CNC conversion of my
machine? I am fully capable of building brackets, mounts etc. But
when it comes to the power supplies, controls, and modification to
motors etc, I am at a loss. I have seen many conversions now, all
done by people who have adapted motors, controllers etc from other
items never intended to be in a machine shop. ANY advise or
information is appreciated. I would rather convert my existing
machine then purchase a comlete new unit. Can anyone help? Thanks in
advance!
