DeskCNC controller board w/ terminal breakouts is $100. The current
generation supports RS-274NGC, with 4 axes, A may be rotary, or A may
be slaved. The board has 4 axes of breakout terminals for step and
direction, independent or common axis limit switch terminals, e-stop,
feed hold, and cycle start terminals. Relay breakouts for Flood and
Mist coolant, Spindle CW and CCW, and 0-5 vdc pwm for spindle speed.
The machine interface has soft keys on the screen for spindle
direction and coolant switching. It has an MDI command line, and
selectable incremental and jog rates, keyboard and softkeys for axis
jogging, and a responsive feed rate override. Additional niceties
include automated probing routines for surface scanning directly to a
probe tip compensated .STL file, 2D section probing routines. Cycle
start-repeat program, independent axis zeroing and setting, automatic
tool measurement cycle.
Additional DeskCNC products:
DeskCNC ruby tipped probe and tool setter $225.
DeskCNC 4 axis stepper driver $45, 36vdc and 2 amp max(limited
quantity available).
DeskCNC servo driver $65, per axis for 3 or more. 30 vdc max and 5
amp, with automatic overtemp and current limiting.
For volume pricing, you should call me Wednesday as I'm somewhat
distracted for a couple of days with some motor guys.
