Dan,

I also get that error message a couple of times and then the Tkemc interface
comes up. I have also tried it on a Pentium 133 and it does work if I set
the period sufficiently high. I had asked about this message and am told
that it is additional error reporting added in to troubleshoot. Previously
the interface would poll for this status buffer and not tell you it was not
found yet. The interface keeps looking for the buffer and once it is found
it will come up. Takes about 5 secs on my system (AMD K6 500).
