Hello Andy,
A 4 way caliper is the 6" dial caliper sold these days by HF and many
other machine supply sources. (Who likely have much higher quality.)
The inexpensive ones cost 16-25 bucks. The better ones can cost a
hundred bucks or more (all prices for the common 6" length)
You'll also see them with a digital readout, instead of the 0-100
dial.
Called a 4 way because it measures inside, outside, depth and step.
