Hi,
I ran across and old series 1 bridgeport numerical control mill. It
had a spindle wizard (are these things worth keeping?) and a stepper
where the knee adjustment is to automate the z axis. It seems to me
that other than a slow movemnts this arangements might not be very
rigid. When making heavy cuts in the past I have always locked the
knee to keeo the vibration down. Is this thing worth persuing?
