What kind of machine is this?
For a Bridgeport type mill or a larger gantry router for wood
you would need about $500-$900 for drives (new) and $1000 for
a full servo controller card. Some conrtrol software is free.
There are other variations (like step to servo conversion)
that would reduce the price somewhat with reduced features.
Add another few hundred for parts for the operator console
and estop system.
If you have it done most of the cost will be labor.
Another quicker but more expensive option is a plug and
play system like Ajax.

I have a CNC with servo motors but no drives or controller. I am
hoping that you guys could give me some advice on what I need to get
this thing up and running. Right now all I have is a machine with
all the mechanics attached, as well as the motors, but that is as far
as the wiring goes. Can any of you hook this up, or even give me
some advice as to what goes where? I am located in central
Kentucky. Any help is appreciated. Thanks, TK Sapp
