There's also the Pico Systems PWM controller and PWM servo drives.
The controller is $250 and the servo amps are $100 each. These amps
are capable of up to 20 A and 160 V DC supply. Drivers for EMC are
available at no cost, and will soon be a part of the EMC distribution
(as soon as the next CD is made.)

EMC is free to download, or you can get a CD sent to you for $10.

Assuming the existing servo motors have standard encoders, the only thing
left to buy is a power supply. If the motors are equipped with resolvers,
then you have the choice of getting resolver to quadrature converters or
replacing the resolvers with encoders.
