This may work, but proper style is to wrap a URL in angle brackets:
<http://www.somesite.com/somewhere>

But neither method will guarantee that a long link will work properly,
especially once it gets wrapped and requoted. An easy solution is a
quick trip to <http://tinyurl.com/>

It will "will create a tiny URL that will not break in email postings
and never expires." It's also free and takes about 3 seconds to do.
