The inexpensive ( and a few of the more costly ones)are not very
suitable for long service with side loads.. bearing quality is one
thing, the long spacing between bearings is another. I have
several of the HF ones I have eaten several pricey 4.5" grinders
( same drive end) and use the HF ones now. They are as good as some
at 5+ times the price but don't expect too much from them. As it
is I am happy with them for my uses -- occasional portable grinding
. The heavy duty router systems are better for the router service
.. as are the heavy duty pneumatic ones.
