Alot of freeware Cad programs have the print driver section of the software disabled so it cannot be used fully. I have a Pro-E CAD program like that, they call it the "student version". Start hacking or just buy the license. If it is indeed a free program you might try dumping it and finding another source for it. Alot of CAD/CAM programs are free to download but the "Save" is disabled.

Does it do a Print Preview or do you get the same error?
