We call it lathe roughing and finishing, and it can use the machine's
cutter comp (G41, G42), or offset the contour automatically within
the toolpath. It won't heel and can cut "behind" like a trailer
hitch ball.

P.S Vector works without creating huge programs full of splined arcs,
and does NOT gouge corners when making rapid moves around shoulders.
