Controller Upgrade.

I am purchasing a machine that uses an NEE MC3V stepper controller. I have
seen in some research that an upgrade might be a wise investment to a newer
controller (i.e. AMC3 or AMC4). Does anyone know about what these controllers
would run, and how involved the conversion would be? If anyone knows a
rough price on the pendant controls that would be appreciated as well.
