SOMEtimes it IS done. Some manufacturers even SUPPLY steppers with encoders

chip-making, NOT, so it is a waste of money. That's the whole POINT of steppers! You
get the CNC moves for least cost (assuming you BUILD it all correctly!

Look in the CAD_CAM_EDM_DRO "Photos" department (click on "Photos" on the
left of the "home page") and then go to the second page, and click on
"Homebrew..." Those two machines are totally home-made with steppers and NO
