Measure the size of the mounting flange.

if is it roughly 1.7" across then it is a NEMA17. if it is roughly
2.3" across, then it is a NEMA23.

If it has 4 wires, then it is a bi-polar.
if it has 5 wires it is a uni-polar.
if it has 6 or 5 wires, then in can be wired for either.
if it has 10 wires it is a 5 phase.

It it is roughly square, figure if it is a NEM23, that is moght be
aoubt 2.3 inches long, then it is a single stack.

The body is probably round so it is an older motor.

Assuming it is a NEMA23, single stack, round body, then we would also
assume it is a 5 watt motor with between 35 and 5o oz. inch holding
power.

Assuming it is a 5 watt motor, check the nameplate and see it any
characteristics are listed ?

resistance maybe ?
amps maybe ?
