Hi I found one of these at a local surplus store. Mine had a very
fine thread arround 20 tpi and rather than balls the nut had eight
pieces of threaded rod again 20 tpi. The rods were mounted in a
cage that allowed the rods to recirculate as the nut was rotated.
It would make a great lead screw for the knee on a mill but its all
a bit big being inch and a half in diameter with the nut beaing
nearly 3 inches. Interesting concept.
