If you can find 2 small steel rods, of the right size to be placed in
between the back of the chuck and the front(bottom/) of the R8 end, you can
put one on each side of the arbor and squeeze them carefully in a vise. They
will act as wedges, and you want need any of that "fancy stuff". This
assumes there is enough clearance there to get the rods to work.
