Manual Pulse Generator. You set a speed (and possibly direction), and
it generates step pulses at that rate.

If you're interested in seeing it, I designed one for someone on the
Gecko list - I can send you specs and crappy photos. (more are
available, if anyone is inclined to purchase them :) )
