Physically Handicaped !!! HELP !!!!

on 2005-02-03 19:45:56 UTC
My son works part time at a racing engine machine
shop. He was given this opportunity because the owner
suffered a bad stroke, and he has the knowledge but to
the strength the turn the hand-wheels on the machines.

I am wanting to convert many of his machines to CNC,
but also powered hand controls.

The high end CNC retro kits have pendants with hand
wheels to move the each axis, does anyone out there
have a way that I could incorporate this into a Mach 2
CNC control system?

He is really depressed about his condition, and sadly
the doctors don't give him any chance to recover
enough to build engines by himself ever again.

Everyone out there put your heads together, because
none of us are getting any younger and this could
happen to one of us.

After thinking about this, it would be nice to have a
stand mounted set of axis controls myself.
