If at ALL possible, KEEP the machines you have when buying a new one, as you
will find having that "extra" to do that "odd procedure on a part in
progress, that you had temporarily forgotten about" will save you
"tearing-down and setting-up all over, again" many times!

Manhattan apartment, huh? Well, sorry for you! Suggest you pack it all in
sturdy boxes and move to a civilized State (NOT AR!) where the purchase-price
of a non-deed-restricted half-acre is probably not much more than one or two
months' rent for a one-bedroom apartment where you are, now!

Yeah, when I began "at home", I first had a little 5" Emko lathe, and it is st
ill doing duty on stuff when I suddenly discover I need to do a "quick thing"
on a part I'm doing, when I have the 1340 lathe set-up for a "run" with a
different chuck, etc.

Have fun, and be careful! Jan Rowland, Troll
