You will not lose any power using the Gecko, just sacrifice some speed due to the voltage limitations. As long as you have the neccessary amperage available they will have all the torque that they are supposed to have. Voltage is relative to the speed and Amperage is relative to the torque.

I was planning to use geko drives because they seems to be easyer to
setup then the rutex (eaven if underpowerd). I have no electronical
knowledge and no ossilloscopes.
Am I right?
