The statement "Amperes are amperes whether AC or DC" is correct but
we are talkin about the resistance of wire. It does change with
freq. The diff. between 0 and 60hz isn't probably gonna matter so
electricians dont care (I'm an electronics geek.. :)

I asked the question just for my clarification re: the circuit. I
dont see why he would want a 30amp primary circuit.
