Maxi,

Part of it is Mach2 which is the control program www.artofcnc.ca . Mach2
reads the G code and sends the step and directions signal out through the
parallel port.

For milling 3D please look at Meshcam. www.grzsoftware.com. It will read
your 3D DXF files and create your G code.
