Check the article in Home Shop Machinist that Rollin Frizenstat(sp) that
converted a mill-drill to ballscrews. His technique to avoid machining the
hard ballscrews was to turn an end cap extension that press fit over the
ends of the ballscrew. I think it was locked by setscrews and locktite.
Was a several part article about 2001 - 2002.
