Thought I had it figured out!!

Hey Guys.
I've been reading the archives both here and the other forum and need
a
bit of clarification or maybe just a simple explaination. I'm trying
to figure out the voltage relationship for my future cnc setup. I
want
to use servos, gecko amps, and the associated power supplies. My
question,......please help me understand the power supply size verses
the servo voltage requirement (of course current requiremetns also).
The geckos may utilize a supply voltage between 24 and 80 V.
According
to their power supply document, the power supply should be 3 to 25
times the servo voltage. Well, I have 30 volt servos which draw .65
amps (wimps I know but trying to source larger motors). I've
procured
a transformer which has a 50V ac output and high current (unknown,
but
this thing is a monster). That will give me a 70V DC voltage to work
with. This means that I'll not meet the 3X voltage requriement for
the
servos and cannot tap off a higher voltage from the transformer with
the geckos (80V max). Should I be trying to source lower voltage
servos. I thought 30V was pretty low! Anyway, I need some help
understanding how these things work.
Thanks in advance and sorry for the elementary questions.
slightly confused.....billyjack
