Abby,
I can't speak to the cap rating; you'll need to research that a bit, this is
important. However, you want two caps. One of them wired between the two
wire terminals, and the other cap wired from one of the terminals to the
case of the motor.

Thanks Tom!
I'm still wondering what to do about placing caps over the sherline's DC
spindle-motor brushes.
Do I just wire a cap over the two power wires, or connect caps to the
brushes themselves?
Thanks!
Abby
