You really need a digital storage scope for this. You will be recording
single-shot
events and then deciding what change to make. An analog scope displays the
event in real time, it flickers across the screen for a few
milliseconds, and then
is gone. You'll go crazy trying to mentally record that flash of
information.
(Been there, done that, bought digital scope pod from Link Instruments.)
