I recieved an early beta but just never had time to play with it.
Sounds like maybe I ought to start thinking about it. Some questions,
I now have a Millport CNC knee mill up and running on my Ahha/compumotor
setup. Have 200 step 42 frame steppers running at 7.2 amps, via
Compumotor OEM640 drivers set to 1000 microsteps/rev.
Any compatibility problems running microstepping like this with a lower
count encoder? I know you sell at least some of the stuff to do this, as
in the DRO board. Ballpark, what would it cost to setup encoder
feedback, total package?
Encoder mounting for me would be interesting to say the least, as the
motors are single end. I'm pretty impressed with how fast I've got it
running right now, and I don't appear to be losing steps so far, but I'd
feel better being able to close the loop if it's not too expensive, and
the software turns out to support the features I need.
