I would d/l a demo copy of deskncrt first to see if it has the G code that
you want . The ah-Ha software is pretty good so I am not sure if moving to
deskncrt would be an improvement. Additionally, I know a machine shop that
uses the ah-ha stuff 7 days a week and it never misses a step if he has his
G code right.
But if you like some of the features of deskncrt , then I would say it would
cost about $50 per axis for encoders and look at my web site at
www.seanet.com/~dmauch for pricing the various options for the dro board/kit
I have tried various encoders and have had my encoder setup in the ini file
change from 1000 counts per unit up to 16000 counts per unit ( inch)
