Hi all:
What about the torque ratings on the power feeds for
Bridgeport and similar turret mills. These are rated from 100 lbs.
in. for continous torque up to 200 lbs. in. peak torque. This is for
the horz.axies usually with .200"/ turn (5 pitch) with a feed rate
of 0.1 to 50 in./min and a rapid of up to 80 in./min. The vertical
feed is only .100"/ turn (10 pitch) with a feed rate of 25 in./min.
and a rapid of up to 40 in./min.. The less expensive drives
feed only 0 to 25 in./min. with a 150 lbs. in torque. The standard
Bridgeport electronic feed is rated a 115 in. lbs at 35 in./min.
I hopes this helps you!
