Jon,
You do realise that the cct is defined by all three pages yes ?
I realise that you may not be impressed with this cct but it is ineed a very
high capability unit (read the manual). This is one way to implement such an
interpolator, obviously there are othe methods implemented using many more
components and not relying on an FPGA.
To interpolate an analog signal, one must first sample it and then convert
this to a digital result prior to applying an appropriate algorithm. Using a
device such as an FPGA or high speed microprocessor/microcontroller is
likely one of the lowest part count methods for doing this.
CS
Acrobat labels the pages differently, so i'm guessing you mean Acrobat's
page 53, which is actually page 49 of the document.
That page seems to be 4 serial data level translators and an FPGA.
A square on a schematic with an FPGA is not going to do you much good,
either, without the configuration information for the FPGA. The interface to
the analog scales is actually on the next page, where it shows the 15-pin D
connectors with the SIN+/SIN- and COS+/COS- signals going into an
op-amp. But, that's all there is on that page, and that is a FAR cry from an
interpolator.
Jon
you have trouble.
