The Sony FD series use a regular 1.44MB 3.5 inch floppy disk instead of some
proprietary memory stick. The camera has a 3.5 inch drive and sends each
picture to disk as a JPEG file. The jpeg format is so compact you can get
12-15 high resolution pictures on one disk.
I have been using it daily in my business and could not be happier - well I
would be happier if I did not have to pay $900 for a camera.
