Face plate design software needed!

Hi all,

I just joined this list so I hope I'm not re-iterating a FAQ.
(Unfortunately, the search previous messages function doesn't work
well, possibly due to the large volume of messages.)

I need software (freeware or low-cost commercial) to design face plates
for electronic devices. Need output in HPGL.

What I want is something that has a simple interface, is accurate to
the mm and can do predefined shapes like cuts for SCART, D9 (RS232),
etc.. I'm currently using design software that's not meant for CNC and
it takes a lot of post-processing the HPGL file to get the desired
result.

Any leads?
