I beg to disagree... I've owned both Grizzly, and Harbor Freight, and the
Harbor Freight is tawdry compared to the 'Griz'... Also, The Jet's I've seen
are even better looking than either of them! Today, I just un-crated a 16 x
60 lathe (w/ 3.125" spindle bore) from Wholesale Tool Company (on sale for
$7395, + $550 S/H) and I must say, this is equal to, or better than any JET
Lathe I've seen. The thing weighs in at 5700 lbs! And the weight seems to be
in all the right places, too. First major project will be a rolling mill
(with slip roll) for 4ft x 12ga sheet steel. Rolls made from 3" dia
barstock...
