Resettable Fuses

All:
Has anybody had any experience placing any of the
resetable fues (aka Polymer Positive Temperature
Coefficeint -- PPTC) in line with their stepper
motor coils to provide over-current protection.
If so, did they work out? or where there unintended
consequences?
Any feedback on this issue would be appreciated.
