I can image an unintended consequence could be an injury. Once one of
these has tripped, it esssentially becomes a switch that will turn a
motor *on* at some random future time (i.e. when the PPTC cools enough).
Not only (as some others have mentioned) would you want to turn off all
the phases to a stepper (not just the overcurrent phase) and probably
all the other axis steppers as well, you want them to *stay* off until
manually reset.

Has anybody had any experience placing any of the resetable fues (aka
Polymer Positive Temperature Coefficeint -- PPTC) in line with their
stepper motor coils to provide over-current protection.
If so, did they work out? or where there unintended consequences?

Any feedback on this issue would be appreciated.
